Reason for hope was given by the EU commissioner with his statement on the first international conference on the use of insects as food, feed and non-food. The approval for poultry feed in addition to the permission of using insect proteins in aquaculture in July 2017, would be a further step to reduce the ecological footprint in this area.<\/p>\n
